To foster excellence in science by sharing best practices, EU-LIFE established thematic working groups and task forces.
Currently, EU-LIFE has seven active working groups composed of members from the EU-LIFE institutes who meet at least once a year face to face at the EU-LIFE Community meeting. They elect a Chair, who sits together with the Strategy Group twice a year to align activities and coordinate with other working groups.
The Task forces (currently five) are smaller groups bringing together a specific set of EU-LIFE experts to accomplish a short-term assignment.

Strategy group
The Strategy group gathers the BoD, the EU-LIFE Coordinator, the main representatives (i.e. a focal point of each member for the alliance) and the working groups chairs (see below). This group focuses on general questions concerning EU-LIFE organisation and strategic actions, such as strategic and action plan, policy, new partners, staff or internal meetings.
